Description of Action

The City Administration began a project several years ago to consolidate all City Water and Sewer guidelines into a single, comprehensive Ordinance.  During the past several months, this project has been completed with the help and assistance of Public Services, Community Development, Legal and Finance.

The Ordinance reflects a comprehensive consolidation of City Water and Sewer operational guidelines, requirements and regulations.  This Ordinance has been developed to reference and follow a companion Resolution which reflects all Water & Sewer fees in a single, transparent and easily available location.

Fiscal Impact/Cost Summary

Consolidates Water & Sewer operations, regulations and fees. 

Recommends providing customers with a new “3^rd and final” letter mailed directly to the customer address when an account is 35 days delinquent prior to service shut off.  This “3^rd and final” letter would be generated and mailed manually and result in a $5 service charge to the account.
